Verdict

Lescer's Lad is taken to complete the hat-trick here, at the main expense of Ted Moss and the pair returning from long absences, King Triton and Peter's Two Fun. The selection defied a 10lb rise in the weights when staying on gamely to win last time out and has been given a decent break to get over those exertions. He has only been raised a pound for that latest win and with ground conditions today no problem, he looks primed for another big run. King Triton is a course and distance winner so warrants plenty of respect, especially as he has run well before when returning from a lengthy period off the track. Blinkers are applied for the first time today and he should be watched in the market for signs of confidence. Peter's Two Fun was last seen on a racecourse almost three years ago and in a point to point a year ago and may just need the run today, whilst Ted Moss is of more interest. Tom George's gelding was well-held at Huntingdon last time out but should appreciate the step up in trip today and may put up an improved show. In a weak contest, we will return to Lescer's Lad to complete the hat-trick.
