In depth

Verdict

Just a small turnout for this and we take Sou'Wester to take this at the principal expense of Buckland Gold and Jades Double. Colin Tizzard's representative is not without a couple of questions to answer after pulling up at Exeter in January but as a previous course-and-distance winner, he has to be respected and connections look to have found themselves a soft opportunity to regain the winning thread. Buckland Gold is much higher rated over hurdles than chase fences. In fairness to him, he ran a solid race to win off his mark and the handicapper has only put him up 7lb for it. Jades Double drops down in trip after unsuccessful forays over further. Rinwood Lass has plenty to do at these weights while longstanding maiden, Sett Aside is rated just 58 by the BHA assessor. Sou'Wester should be able to regain the winning thread here.
