In depth

Verdict

Wenceslaus has won three of his last four, two of those around here. But he’s gone up 10lb and FINNEGAN’S GARDEN (NAP) is in the form of his life. He skated up at Lingfield four weeks ago and loves the mud. He also beat Le Coeur Net at Fontwell last season, though the latter is now 13lb better off. Elisezmoi has had wind surgery since a second at Lingfield and Skipping On has slipped down the weights. So has Tara Bridge, who is tried in a visor, but Away For Slates has a bit to prove at present.
