    Verdict

A tricky low-grade handicap where, as is only to be expected, plenty of the field hold solid claims. However, Christophe has improved for the step up to this sort of trip of late and is just preferred over Harry Collins, Pardon What and Torpica, who head the list of dangers, although it would also be foolhardy to completely rule out a bold bid from Rivers Reine now that Mick Fitzgerald has consented to do the steering. However, Christophe has thrived since winning a seller here at the start of last month and, as he faces much similar company to when he followed up at Warwick when he was last seen out, he will be very hard to peg-back as he bids for the hat-trick. Harry Collins has a useful conditional booked and could be the best of the rest.
