In depth

Verdict

Winning pointer Kruzhlinin has to be of interest on his first start under Rules, while Mister Newby had Trackmate behind when runner-up to subsequent hurdle and chase winner Bhaltair at Wetherby in June and will know more today. Loose Chips wasn't disgraced when fifth at Huntingdon in October and another ex-pointer, Ballylifen, was third at Ludlow last month. But a couple of newcomers catch the eye here with TIDAL DANCE just preferred to Prime Location. Warren Greatrex is doing well with his bumper horses but the latter has a staying pedigree whereas Emma Lavelle's four-year-old is closely related to useful bumper winner Coral Sea.
