Verdict

MOUNT BENGER has done well for Jim Best and may be able to score again if allowed to take his chance. Carly Bay is in decent nick and should be involved as may a host of others with Sangfroid receiving third spot. The selection may find this a little tougher than the sellers he has won at Market Rasen and Folkestone (and he was due to race at Folkestone again on Friday afternoon) but such has been the authority of his successes that he looks capable of scaling such heights. He is on a career high mark but Rhys Flint is decent value for his seven and there's every reason to believe he can continue to be competitive. At least he knows how to win whereas one or two in this field have yet to convince on that front. Ardmaddy comes into that category whilst Carly Bay appeared to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory last time. Aypeeyes hasn't had too many chances and can build on his Warwick third and is respected whilst Sangfroid could show up well at a price. He may not have faced the visor last time and isn't straightforward but the pick of the efforts prior to that suggest that he could get involved. He's too unreliable to nominate as the selection though and that honour goes to Mount Benger.
