Christmas In April won this two years ago but is still 11lb higher and his stable has been out of sorts recently. I See You Well is a course specialist but has generally struggled when stepped up in grade in the past. Seaston Spirit won this 12 months ago when 3lb higher but has shown little since and was behind ECLAIR DE GUYE and Salty Boy last time at Sandown. Lucy Wadham’s eight-year-old clearly needs a thorough test of stamina nowadays and it is just over a year since he gave 7lb and a sound beating to Pemberley at Huntingdon.
