In depth

Verdict

St Killian's Run and Norwich Flyer were both engaged here yesterday but Gordon Elliott has also entered Steel Magnate, third at Kilbeggan 10 days ago after a break. He makes more appeal than Regent's Secret, who is better over 2m, while Sierra Victor has a bit to prove after a poor effort over further at Hexham last time. SPIRIT CALLING is hardly what you'd call consistent but likes it here and, back over his best trip, is fancied to book a return to the winner's circle. Bankstair still has plenty of scope but could just need this after more than a year on then sidelines.
