In depth

Verdict

Astaroland couldn't handle the step up in grade when attempting a hat-trick at Aintree but could do better here. Dubai Shen bravely held off PADRE TITO here earlier this month with the front two pulling clear. But Gordon Elliott's charge can come out on top today on slightly better terms. Rockabilly Riot isn't out of this and it would be no surprise to see Thorpe run well on his return from a lay-off. He had some good form at the start of last year and was being campaigned over longer trips later. Carinena still had every chance when falling at Kelso last month and is another to consider.
