Verdict

This looks a very open contest, though Chief Bucaneer appears to have lost his way a little and Mr Nobody was engaged to run here yesterday. The four-year-old Royal And Ancient has had plenty of chances and Long Distance might need this after a break but Latin Connection has been knocking on the door and finished ahead of Pokfulham at Kelso last month. Bridlingtonbygones still has some scope but, like Sole Witness, may be a shade high in the weights at present while St Killian's Run needs to improve on recent efforts to score here. Coeur De Fou was having his first start for a year when winning at Doncaster last month, however, and is open to further improvement but WHAT AN OSCAR's second to Master Fiddle at Newbury suggests he can go one better off a 3lb higher mark.
