Verdict

This looks a competitive contest for the time of year. Behindthelines may prove the pick of Lucinda Russell’s pair, though both have had wind surgery since last seen. Cubomania has more on his plate than when winning a handicap at Kelso last week but Raise A Spark is a strong traveller who was just worried out of a hat-trick at Cartmel last time and El Terremoto has taken well to fences. CRESSWELL LEGEND was useful over hurdles and could prove even better over fences given he has already won between the flags. He gets a tentative vote though Richard Hobson wastes no time putting Petiville over fences after a break. The six-year-old was very progressive over hurdles last summer and looks a nice prospect.
