Verdict

Skipper Robin is a likely looking type and Fairynuff should go well despite his penalty but it may be worth taking a chance with NIGHT IN MILAN on debut. The selection is by a stallion whose progeny have made a real impact in bumpers and between the flags this season whilst his dam is from a smart jumping family so there's hope for him on paper. Malcolm Jefferson is no stranger to success in this sphere and market support would be encouraging. Skipper Robin has shown ability in a couple of spins around Southwell, hails from a yard that has an excellent strike rate at this track and may be better suited by the demands of this venue so he rates a leading player. Fairynuff is arguably the form pick whilst Fightstar and Steel Edge are others to have shown ability but a chance is taken that Night In Milan can score at the first time of asking.
