    Verdict

Lily Yeats and Lucy Mc were both engaged in the same mares' race here yesterday but Wakea has claims after comfortably landing the odds in a Clonmel maiden two weeks ago. Lake Malawi, however, is unlikely to be suited by the drop back to 2m as he appeared to get outpaced over 2m5f last time at Ballinrobe. This race offers a fascinating clash between two smart bumper horses. Ballyandy won the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March, a race that MOON RACER (NAP) had taken 12 months earlier. A line through Bacardys gives David Pipe's seven-year-old the edge here, though both are worth following over hurdles in the months ahead.
