Verdict

Charlie Mann should supply the answer her in the shape of Allude who can complete the hat-trick at the expense of Karju and Maldoun. Allude has to shoulder a penalty but has been in such good form of late that it is hard to escape his claims. After being turned over at Hereford last March he was able to keep his novice status, and has made the most of the situation with wins at Worcester and Cartmel. Karju meets the selection on a pound worse terms than when beaten a head at Cartmel but should be there or thereabouts again, while Maldoun, ridden by Rodi Greene with Tony McCoy out of action, would prefer a stiffer test of stamina judged on his latest effort here. Hid earlier win at Kelso was nothing to write home about either. Of the rest, Words And Deeds is an interesting newcomer from the Richard Fahey yard, but Allude should be hard to beat.
