In depth

Verdict

The Lyme Volunteer has not always looked to be the most straightforward of rides but the booking of Graham Lee for Oliver Sherwood's mare takes the eye and she is preferred to Behavingbadly and Tarbolton Moss. The last mentioned has slipped to an attractive mark and will not mind the cut in the ground so has to be respected. Sir Frosty does nothing but stay but may find one or two of these too quick for him, even over this trip and of more interest may be Ferdy Murphy's Be Upstanding who has a nice racing weight. Tom George's Trenance is 2lbs out of the handicap but is less exposed than some of his rivals and cannot be discounted, while the hunter Next To Nothing could have been let in lightly on his return to a handicap. The handicapper may have caught up with Tregastel now and of more interest is Alan Parker's Behavingbadly, who has slipped to a fair mark and comes from a stable that is back among the winners again. The Lyme Volunteer remains feasibly well treated though and is taken to respond well to the urgings of Graham Lee.
