Verdict

Drumossie can land the finale at the expense of Mystic Glen, Norseman Cateline and Caught In Time. The last-named is only four-years-old, and has plenty of time on his side, but although he is lightly-weighted, it is hard to fancy his chances on this, his chase debut. Preference is for Drumossie, who to be fair, was a rather fortunate winner at Bangor when Ticket To Ride's pilot lost an iron on the run-in. However, he did have Noresman Cateline nine-lengths away then, and even on the revised terms, should hold that rival again. Since then, the selection has been kept bubbling with a spin on the Flat at Newcastle, and in this moderate contest, should make a bold bid to prove that his latest victory was no fluke. Mystic Glen stayed on really well at Market Rasen last time when third to Bollitree Bob, but is not certain to appreciate the drop back in trip. The rest make little or no appeal, and our vote goes to Drumossie.
