Verdict

This looks a virtual match between Hawkhill, who didn't beat much over track and trip last time, and CADORE with preference for Lucinda Russell's four-year-old, who gets a lot of weight from Tim Vaughan's charge even allowing for his rider's 10lb claim. The selection was only beaten a head by an in-form rival in a handicap here last month and can open his account at the ninth attempt. The others look to be playing for places.
