Paul Nicholls is a rare visitor here but his runners boast a terrific strike-rate and the yard won this last year with ultimately useful novice. RAINY CITY ran just once over fences last season, finishing second at Hereford. Rated 135 over hurdles, it will be a surprise if he’s beaten here. Baby Bach has yet to make the frame in five attempts over the larger obstacles but Henry Daly’s mare is an interesting runner. She’s won four of her 15 career starts and usually kept decent company over timber.
