Verdict

Irish raider NAPOLEON BLUE faded away tamely at Roscommon when last seen but previous efforts, including a strong Punchestown runner-up performance and a close third here, suggest he can play a leading role. He is forgiven that recent off-day and is suited by forecast conditions. Always Tipsy brought the winning run of Darling Miss to a conclusion over course and distance in June and is expected to remain competitive off a 6lb higher mark, a fair decision by the assessor. River Icon had dropped to a nice mark when returning to form at Aintree a month ago but now goes half a mile back up in trip, whilst the consistent trio of Sleepy Haven, General Allenby and Gren Zone are others to note.
