    Verdict

A maiden chase event is next on the cards and this looks a good opportunity for DEL RIO to get off the mar ahead of Devil Water and Mayo Abbey. The selection is an Irish raider from the Jim Dreaper yard and has been contesting much better events than this in his native land. His runs behind the likes of Mick The Man and An Cathaoir Mor read very well in the context of this race and it looks as if connections have come in search of better ground. Devil Water may give the selection most to think about with the excellent Harry Haynes booked. This horse has been a little disappointing this season but in fairness he had been running against much better horses. Today's task is his easiest to date and if taking to fences he should go well. Mayo Abbey is another Irish raider from the Gordon Elliot yard and Jason McGuire is an eye catching booking for the yard. Thus horse is an ex Irish pointer and his last run in that sphere produced an effortless victory. He has plenty of ability it would seem but today's trip maybe on the sharp side for him. Poseidon is another to note but we will return to Del Rio for the win.
