Verdict

GUNNER LINDLEY hasn't scored over timber in 20 attempts but recent efforts behind the likes of Endeavor and Nicki's Nipper at Sedgefield and Carlise respectively read well in the context of this contest. Moreover, he's also delivered two solid efforts on the Flat recently, notably when hunting up subsequent scorer Henry Smith, and this is a sound opportunity for him to capture that elusive first success over timber under Sam Coltherd who takes off what could be a decisive 6lb. Scorpions Sting has entered the runner-up spot the last twice and his yard are enjoying a good campaign and it'll be interesting to see how he compares to stablemate Civil Unrest in the market as the latter continues his search for form after a year's absence. Thankyou Very Much, Marcus Antonius and Mrs Grass could all contend in an open race.
