Chef de Cour can defy a penalty to add to his tally, with Summer Special, Pass Go and Moments Madness worth a mention at least. This non-too competitive affair looks booked for Chef de Cour after his comfortable six-length success over Summer Special at Kelso recently. Tony Dobbin was confident enough to hold Len Lungo's charge up way off the pace before picking off his rivals in the straight and drawing away. Summer Special is now eight-pound better off with the selection, but it is hard to see that long-standing maiden turning the tables, and a place at best is all that he can hope for. Irish trainer Jimmy Lambe saddles no less than five of the 13 runners here and the market will surely prove the best guide as two of them make their debut over hurdles. Of the other three, Pass Go has course experience, Mushraag was unplaced on his only start, and Killing Joke was at one time highly-thought of on the Flat by former trainer James Given. Moments Madness has been in action between the flags and is best watched, so really this should be a simple task for Chef de Cour.
