Verdict

Another race where small stakes are probably best advised and we take Burton Ash to get his nose in front of Alexander Capetown, Goose Chase and Three Wrens. The selection is dropping to a competitive mark and showed improved form when second to Killena Boy over course and distance last time. Any rain would perhaps help a little more too, but Burton Ash looks to have the ability to land this contest even if the ground remains fast. Alexander Capetown is another who should be suited by the step up in trip. Although well beaten at Chester last time, there is nothing of that winner's class in this line-up and on faster ground his chance is respected. Three Wrens is still learning the game after only three outings so far, but she has managed a win at the trip. She kept on pretty well when beaten at Bath last time, though she is unproven on the ground here. Of the remainder, Goose Chase will be popular with punters, after a course and distance win last month, and should go well if handling fast ground for the first time, but we take Burton Ash to be good enough.
