In depth

Verdict

Plenty open to improvement in a wide-open contest. John T Chance is upped 6lb after scoring at Wolverhampton and Madam Prancealot’s winning run came to an end in a tough sales race in Ireland having won at Lingfield and Chepstow earlier. Pacofilha and Sandwood Bay are compromised by high draws but Sakurajima, Pepys and SWELL HILL look likely to improve now handicapping for the first time. The latter is just preferred after placing at Ffos Las and makes more appeal than stablemate Metronomic and Mark Johnston’s duo Katebird and Bridal March.
