SHEILA'S BUDDY handled good to soft ground well enough when winning over a similar trip at Bath in September and demonstrated his well-being when making a successful reappearance at Lingfield, despite missing the break. He's 5lb higher here but still probably the one to beat with many of his rivals lacking a recent run. Joyful Spirit, second over a mile at Windsor in October, may be the best of those though Renegotiate could improve for the fitting of a visor and Chelsea Mick is often thereabouts. Neil's Pride hinted at ability early last season but has his stamina to prove over this sort of distance.
