RED JADE was a very eye-catching third at this venue last week and while little ground separated the first few home, the manner in which he ran through horses suggested if more aggressive tactics were applied he should take a deal of beating. Lyceana finished fourth in what looked a moderate maiden on debut and but stayed on well doing her best work in the closing stages. She has bypassed several engagements in recent weeks and it could be she has had problems. Scarab attracted support in the market on debut but was disappointing. Ibbetson showed little on debut but the yard are not renowned for first time out winners. Eqbaal looks rather flattered by his rating of 81. First time headgear was applied last time where he was readily outclassed. He could prove to be the biggest threat to Red Jade who is the selection.
