Namu can make experience count over Haifa, with Canina, Grand Jour and Rosita Mia best of the remainder. Namu has already been placed no less than four times in her six starts to date and is proving a bit expensive to follow, but surely it is only a matter of time before she visits the winner's enclosure. The Barry Hills-trained filly was sent off as an odds-on favourite on her latest outing at Redcar, but went down narrowly to Enrichetta. As stated in the 12:25 preview, the latter finished just behind Pearly Poll here prior to that victory, so success for that one in the opener will be a further pointer to the chance of Namu. Haifa stayed on well at the end of her Newcastle debut, proving that she handles soft ground, but the drop back in trip today has to be a worry. Nevertheless, that initial effort came despite her not getting the best of luck in running, and she should give the selection a race. Canina ran above her station when second here last time, and this will be her third visit to Colwick Park, so she has to be worth a mention at least, while Grand Jour drops back in trip after trying to make all on the Southwell fibresand. He is likely to be collared again here though, and of the rest, Rosita Mia belied her 100-1 price when second at Yarmouth but will have to improve again to figure, so we return to Namu as the answer.
