Verdict

We will know by now whether Sir Michael Stoute is in with a chance of winning both divisions of this race, but however his runner fares in the previous contest he can take this one with DAMINI, while Lonely Star is probably the danger. Damini made good progress from her Kempton polytrack debut to put up a good display on fast ground at Folkestone last time. This step up in trip should also suit, conditions again favour her, and with more to come she looks capable of her first win. Lonely Star made a very pleasing debut before flopping, probably as a result of a car park draw, at Kempton last time. Back on turf and with a better pitch she should show her true ability and can go well. Sampi was slow to go on debut at Sunbury but got the hang of things before the end and she looks more than likely to be much better for the run, so she could make the frame. Paquerettza can also show more for the step up to a mile, though may be better when there is juice in the ground.
