Verdict

Calin Du Brizais landed a course and distance double earlier but a hike in the weights proved beyond him last time when runner-up at Uttoxeter. Patricktom Boru has been narrowly beaten the last twice now and has gone up a further 3lb but A TAIL OF INTRIGUE (NAP) can race off the same mark as when placed at Worcester recently. Nicky Henderson’s charge can come out best with first-time blinkers helping his cause. Dawnieriver was successful at Southwell in March but was well beaten subsequently.
