Verdict

Ruddy Article, a three-times point-to-point winner, made a disappointing start under Rules when pulled up in a novices' hunter chase at Stratford and is probably best watched on his hurdling debut. The mare Midnight Mint should go well, however, having been placed in her last two starts and Bogoss Du Perret showed promise when third here last month. Number One London won over 2m on the Flat so this trip should be within his range and he ran well for a long way at Ludlow last month. SHAH OF PERSIA couldn't quicken when third at Fontwell but wasn't beaten far. That was a big step up on previous efforts and Warren Greatrex' eight-year-old can get off the mark today.
