    Verdict

A very competitive handicap hurdle for this time of year with Polish Legend, Lightning Star, Tin Symphony, Borora, Dinarelli and Celebration Town all with serious chances. Having said that Polish Legend gets a tentative vote following his recent course and distance success over Code Sign and can defy his 8lb rise in the weights. This tight track suits him as this fast improving five year old does take a keen hold in his races. He had some solid form prior to his latest win, finishing second in a similar contest around Taunton and a good third to Prince Of Persia at Ludlow thereafter. He can be forgiven his below par effort on his penultimate start as that was over 2m 3f at Hereford which he failed to stay after pulling too hard early on. He proved his well being last time out and can score again here. Of the main dangers Lightning Star is looking for his hat-trick and has to be respected, but has risen in the weights dramatically and the handicapper may well have a threshold over him now. Borora ran well enough last time out when finishing second to Dads Elect at Southwell and with the yard in good form with limited ammunition to play with is one to consider for a place prospect. Dinarelli from the Pipe yard is more than capable of getting his head in front but looks a little bit of a character, while Celebration Town with first time blinkers has another obvious chance with AP McCoy on board but has not reproduced his best form for some time. To conclude then Polish Legend is taken to follow up his recent course and distance performance with Borora filling in the number two spot.
