In depth

Verdict

The Castilian gets the call here ahead of mainly Shingle Street. Second to Election Seeker over course and distance on his debut, that was a fair effort from the selection, a repeat of which should see him go close. From the in-form Gary Moore yard, Apphun showed enough on the Flat to be considered so watch the betting, while Dream Along should improve on what was a fair debut effort when fourth behind Election Seeker over course and distance, but, of course, is held by the selection on that form. Obstreperous Way hails from a canny yard, although is maybe best watched on his hurdling debut, while much as Shingle Street looked held when falling last time, he had earlier suggested promise on his hurdling debut, so has to be considered. Those mentioned appear to be the principals, with the vote going to The Castilian.
