    Verdict

Idaho d'Ox and Island Sound look to have this between them, with Clarendon best of the rest. In truth, the three should have it between them and the Martin Pipe-trained selection who has won his last two races, ought to win again. That said, Island Sound will be no pushover and the Stratford winner also comes from the in-form David Elsworth stable. Clarendon is getting weight from the top two but is making his chasing debut so it all points to Idaho d'Ox and another winner for Martin Pipe.
