In depth

Verdict

A bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these types of events the market will be all important but the principals look to be Brave Face, Baker's Girl and Waneska and the narrow vote is given to Brave Face. The selection hails from a yard that has a good record in these events and this former point winner will not need to be anything special to take a hand in the finish. Baker's Girl rates the main danger as she is proven on the ground and beat Captain Willoughby with a little in hand last time but this looks more competitive. Waneska is another worthy of respect as she hails from a yard that can ready a newcomer and this Kallisto filly out of Waterbor should be watched in the market. Of the remainder Denis The Legend has improved with each run in the pointing field and is another that could go well but for the winner we return to Brave Face.
