Berengario ran creditably here over the extended two miles last time and has to be respected on that evidence but preference is for Earlsfield Raider, who gets the vote over Urban. The last mentioned has not been seen since December 2005 when trained in Ireland and now makes his debut for Jonjo O'Neill who can certainly ready one after an absence so he could be of interest. Annie Fleetwood has been running creditably well of late but may have to settle for minor honours, while Garston Star has given little sign of encouragement of late. Former pointer Ancient Mariner has little to recommend him and a safer bet looks to be Earlsfield Raider who has ground conditions to suit and may be worth an interest on the pick of his hurdles form.
