In depth

Verdict

Makeabreak gets the confident vote to win this novice hurdle with Rosita Bay and Alaskan Fizz rating the main dangers. The selection was a good second behind Don and Gerry last time out. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and under similar conditions need only run up to that mark to win this. Rosita Bay rates the main danger as she was outclassed in a listed bumper on her last run, she is sure to have been well schooled for this her hurdling debut and should be closely watched in the market. Alaskan Fizz is another worthy of respect on her best form but she disappointed for no apparent reason last time so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Sonoma was a fair fourth on his hurdling debut behind Onward to Glory and is sure to improve but for the winner we return to Makeabreak who is taken to put her experience to good use.
