    Verdict

This contest is complicated by the fact that likely favourite Karl Marx was due to race yesterday at Worcester. ALL FORCE MAJEURE was behind the aforementioned over 2m5f at Wincanton last month but still held every chance at the second-last before getting outpaced. The step up in distance and a pair of blinkers can see the David Pipe runner get off the mark over hurdles this afternoon. Rior has only won one of his 26 starts but was only beaten half-a-length over a similar trip at Stratford last month, when Finish The Story was well behind, and has every chance on that form. Horace Hazel also looks held by Rior on collateral form.
