In depth

Verdict

ARENICE ET PICTONS, a promising third on his hurdling debut at Auteuil in April, is now with Paul Nicholls and probably has Philip Hobbs' winning pointer Sykes to beat on his first start in this country but can do so. Polamco landed a Taunton bumper in the spring on his third start and makes more appeal than Creative Boru. Buckhorn Timothy was a decent sort in bumpers but he's struggled to make an impact so far over timber but Burtons Well is worth monitoring as he's a half-brother to top-class chaser Burton Port.
