Little Eaglet won cleverly last time under a lovely Liam Heard ride and his next outing was something to look forward to but it's surprising to see him turn up here. That latest effort was over 3m3f but this is a major reduction in trip and he's reluctantly passed over. Sovereign Spirit has had a cracking season and is up 25lb since scoring at Fontwell in June and a 16lb hike for the latest success saw him fail to follow up behind Folie A Deux at Uttoxeter. He'll go well but PRINCE PIPPIN looks to have more to offer as a five-year-old, although not seen since April when winning a small Plumpton contest. However, this looks his ideal trip and ground and he's a chance worth taking despite the lay-off. Bathwick Man has plenty on his plate off topweight but is another likely to be suited by this trip and should go well.
