Verdict

TRULEE SCRUMPTIOUS escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race by seven lengths over track and trip a week ago. He’s the obvious choice if in the same mood on today’s softer going. Easy Code has tumbled down the weights and the handicapper takes a chance dropping him a further 2lb after placing at Kempton while Redgrave has more scope than most but hasn’t raced since April. Wings Of Esteem has yet to win a handicap but can race off a lower mark on Turf while My Lucille has to come into the reckoning if the ground remains on the soft side.
