Verdict

The market will provide the biggest clues in a race full of well bred newcomers but Sky Galaxy makes plenty of appeal and is just preferred over Lady Lucia, Menhoubah and Abington Angel. Ed Dunlop's filly is bred to be precocious being a half-sister to the former smart winning juvenile sprinter Moonshine Girl and the booking of Kieren Fallon suggests that she will be sharp enough to do herself justice. Lady Lucia is by Royal Applause out of a useful winning two-year-old so clearly has to be respected while Menhoubah represents a yard that can do little wrong this season and is another to consider being related to a number of top class performers in the States. Brian Meehan saddles Abington Angel, a Machiavellian half sister to the 1995 Group 3 Cherry Hinton winner Applaud, so also enters calculations and should be closely monitored in the exchanges.
