Verdict

The tough and consistent Miss Lahar has been placed in similar company of late including at Doncaster last time when third to the progressive Gusto. The latter was winning for the second time since finishing behind ARTISTIC JEWEL at Salisbury in September and Ed McMahon's progressive filly gets the vote here on that basis. She should take care of stablemate Radio Gaga, but Excelette looks a real threat after finishing second to Bogart in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar. Misty Conquest was below par in a Group 3 on soft ground last time but has claims taking on fillies only again here, while Idols Eye has plenty to find on the face of it, though Richard Hannon's recent record in this race suggests we may not have seen the best of her yet.
