Verdict

A penalty for winning a Listed race earlier in the season, when Model Pupil was well beaten, leaves last year's winner Caucus with a tougher task this time round, especially as Repeater bounced back to form with a third in the Doncaster Cup last time. The latter is preferred to stablemate Tropical Beat. Genzy never figured on soft ground in France recently but is not out of this and makes more appeal than winning handicapper Statutory. SABOR A TRIUNFO didn't tell us that much when fading quickly in the closing stages of a Group 3 at Kempton, apart from the fact that she'll improve for the outing. A Group 1 winner in Chile over 1m2f, Richard Hughes' presence takes the eye and a punt is taken she'll last home on only her second start for new trainer Ed Dunlop.
