    Verdict

Paul Hanagan partners Fidaawy in this in preference to Ehtiraas and Sirdaal. His trainer, Sir Michael Stoute, won this last year and also introduces Shabbah. But Sirdaal, a half-brother to the smart Mawatheeq and Ghanaati, looks the better long-term prospect and already has an entry in next year's Investec Derby. The US-bred Great Order wears Godolphin's first colours but that isn't necessarily a pointer to ability and Pictograph is also worth a second look. Showing Off is speedily bred and C Note is also worth a market check. Martyn Meade's Ifraaj colt is a half-brother to three useful winners and is reportedly his yard's best two-year-old. Frankie's mount CRAZY HORSE is by Sleeping Indian, who gets plenty of sprinters, and a half-brother to last year's Chesham Stakes winner Richard Pankhurst. He may have more speed than today's rivals at this stage of their respective careers.
