In depth

Verdict

An interesting little heat and a case can be made for most of the runners. Thundering Surf is more than capable on his day, but he is better when he can get plenty of cover, something which he won't have today. Demi Beau has more too do than when successful in a 0-80 at Musselburgh and would be receiving weight off most of these if this was a handicap. Compton Commander ran well enough over an inadequate trip at Chester, and seems sure to give a good account. The vote goes to King's Mill, who goes well fresh and would have more too do in a handicap.
