Verdict

The Henry Cecil-trained Articulation gets the call here ahead of Garnett and Meissen. The selection showed plenty of promise on his debut in a race that was not run to suit so ought to be in the shake-up in this run-of -the-mill maiden. Garnett made late headway at Windsor on his debut and looks sure to improve with that run under his belt, while Meissen, although looking a little one-paced, has shown more than enough in her last two runs to play a part here. Of the others, Patrixprial has shown promise, while Chanteloup was considered good enough to run in the Musidora Stakes in May but disappointed badly - probably because of the going - at Pontefract last time, Do not rule her out of a good show but, for us, the selection is Articulation.
