Verdict

Hardly any form to work with (of which Purple Sage has probably the best) and this may go to one of the newcomers. We'll take a chance on SWORN ahead of Rock Art and Anice Stellato. The selection is related to several winners over in the US and Jeremy Noseda knows how to ready a newcomer. Testing ground may be against her but until she runs we cannot make a judgement and assuming the market signs are positive then she can go in. Mooteeah makes plenty of appeal on breeding being a half-sister to Honolulu, but with Richard Hills in the saddle she won't be given a rough time and we may not see the best of her until next year over longer trips. First Passage and Rock Art give Brian Meehan a strong hand and the latter is a half-sister to Amadeus Mozart, whilst Timeless Dream, Morning Calm and Capitelli are all in good hands. Anice Stellato is one to watch in the betting as her stable are capable of readying a newcomer and her dam won her only start at two. A hard puzzle where the market will help, but we will stick with Sworn.
