In depth

Verdict

Zwayyan is upped 6lb for winning in soft going at Haydock last month, while Masham Star has found one too good the last twice now including over track and trip a week ago when caught by Medahim in the closing stages. Knight Owl hasn’t raced since finishing third at Ripon on his reappearance and this looks tougher than the race Examiner won at Salisbury last time. Ballard Down is 8lb higher than when scoring at Wolverhampton and Temple Church drops back in distance after running well over 1m2f at York. MASTER THE WORLD was having his first outing since February when beaten four lengths in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot last month. David Elsworth’s charge will find this easier and an apprentice’s allowance could see him bang there at the finish.
