    Verdict

PEAK STORM has to defy a further 8lb rise but was an easy winner at Chepstow last time and is clearly on the upgrade. John O'Shea's charge is preferred to Nottingham winner Handheld and gets the nod. Last year's victory in this was the last time Rough Rock won a race but he's 2lb lower today and should be thereabouts at the finish, as should Hierarch if he produces one of his better efforts. Excellent Jem was well beaten on his previous attempt at this longer distance albeit in soft ground while Warden Bond has so far done all his winning on the Polytrack
