      Verdict

We'll take SUMMERS TARGET to make it third time lucky in division one of this maiden, while Dalradian looks best of the rest. The selection has finished runner-up in a couple of decent maidens at Ascot and Sandown being well backed last time when he was just collared close to home. The form of his Ascot debut has worked out very well and he is the one they all have to beat. Meanwhile Dalradian has seen the racecourse three times so far and, while his form is not nearly as strong as the selection, his experience is not to be dismissed and he can make the frame. The stiff track here should suit Howard, who was getting the hang of things at the business end last time out and can go well for Philip Robinson this time. Of those on debut, Devotion To Duty and Incendo will probably do better at three, Twisted would probably want softer ground, and stablemate Nehaam is bred to come out on top in the battle of the new boys. However, Summers Target sets the standard and is a confident choice.
